I’ve just come back from a fantastic adventure exploring Croatia with The Blogger Programme, so naturally, I wanted to share my top tips for visiting Croatia – A place which after experiencing what it has on offer, I’m already destined to go back to.
Where to Stay
I would recommend basing yourself in good proximity to Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast, Split. From here you can easily get a one-hour boat ride to Split (around £50 return) or head on a party boat to Obajan or check out Croatia’s many historic towns by Uber, such as Sibenik.
We based ourselves close to the Krka Waterfalls, in Zaton at the aptly named, Admiral Zaton. The boutique luxury hotel is based in the more picturesque harbour village, offering local character, nautical themes and, due to its ex-Californian owners, Jonathan and Megan, hospitality and personal touches which are second to none.
The hotel and bedrooms were beautifully furnished throughout and including all the essentials! A hairdryer, air conditioning and an iron! The Admiral Zaton also has its own speedboat which can be booked for excursions, enforcing the hotel’s luxury offering.
How to get to there
Wizz Air flies to Split airport from Luton airport from £107 each way, taking around 2hr 35 mins. Luton Airport has just had a big refurb, so make sure you get there nice and early to visit the champagne bar and start off your journey on the right foot.

Krka National Park (waterfalls) – Do go chasing waterfalls! You will literally feel like you’ve arrived in Paradise… and the best thing, you can swim in the waterfalls – Pure Instagram gold! Krka National Park also offers nice restaurants and nature trails, so you can definitely make a day of it. Thanks to Trip Advisor for hosting this experience.
Hvar – If you’re looking for turquoise/green sea and peach/strawberry skies, then look no further than Hvar. Spend the day at the luxury Bonj Beach Club (around £50 for two sunbeds), then head to Carpe Diem island to continue the party into the early hours (short boat ride from the harbour around £20 including boat ride and entrance fee).

Blue Caves – The Blue Grotto or Blue Cave, is a water-logged sea cave located in a small bay called Balun, it’s reachable by boat from Hvar harbour.
Explore the old town of Sibenik – Visit the 15th-century stone Cathedral of St. James or soak up the atmosphere at one of the marina’s seafood restaurants, before strolling through the antique shops and boutiques.
Where to Eat
My personal favourite restaurant of the whole trip was traditional Croatian restaurant, Konoba Vinko – set in the beautiful Sibenki countryside, they serve Croatia’s traditional dish, Peka – Delicious chicken and lamb, charcoaled over hot coals and served with vegetables and fresh salad. (tip: Head there before sunset to capture a picture in the floral fields adjacent to the restaurant).

Havianas – Especially for the Krka waterfalls, which can be slippery
Linda Meridith Skincare, hydrating face mist – to keep skin hydrated during the flight
Elemis Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks – Also for the flight home, after a few nights of partying to ease tired eyes
