Last week, I was invited to a launch dinner to celebrate the collaboration between Harris Tweed X Primark MAN.

The Highland-themed evening was hosted in a beautiful traditional house based in Shoreditch, most notable for providing a film location for The Danish Girl.

The evening was structured with welcome drinks, a cocktail masterclass, Q&A on the collection and dinner by Dram & Smoke. The venue was dressed to compliment the 5-piece capsule collection, which consists of tweed blazers – £85, a waistcoat – £30 and a herringbone-style bomber jacket – £60 (featured).

Each item is created with fabric handcrafted from pure virgin wool, which is dyed and spun on the islands of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The traditional method is carried out by one of only 120 weavers on the island, in their own homes using skills passed down from generation to generation.

Attendees included Timothy Jones, Daniel Marin, Sam Gray and Rowan Row. We were treated to a four-course meal, which included Longastien, Lamb and Chocolate dessert – all washed down with the finest Scottish red wine and Old Fashions.

This collection is a limited run and is exclusive to 11 Primark stores in the UK.
