Last Thursday, I was invited to an exclusive preview dinner to celebrate the launch of the Montague Burton collection.
Burton took over Shoreditch eatery St. John Bread and Wine for the occasion, to give media and bloggers the opportunity to preview the full new AW16 Montague Burton collection before it hit stores across the UK.
The Montague Burton collection plays homage to the leading menswear store’s founder, Sir Montague Maurice Burton and is a premium collection created by Burton’s in-house design team. The collection offers superior design without the superior price tag and is crafted from premium fabrics reflective of the season trends. The collection is built on the ethos of providing good quality, simplicity and classic modernity – truly showcasing the best of Burton.
I was taken through the collection by the Burton PR team and the key pieces that really caught my eye and attention (of which there were many) included a three-piece grey donegal suit, a double-breasted herringbone wool overcoat, a merino wool roll neck in a delicious winterberry red and my personal favorite from the collection, a navy and green checked flannel bomber jacket with coordinated trousers.
The evening was the perfect opportunity to fully immerse myself in the AW16 Montague Burton collection, whilst meeting the designers behind the collection in an intimate and informal setting. Throughout the evening, guests were treated to gin-based cocktails, fine wines, canapés and a sharing menu consisting of Roast lamb, Cauliflower, leeks and butterbeans and Brown bread ice-cream to finish.
It was also a great opportunity to mingle with fellow lifestyle bloggers including Ben Heath (Twenty First Century Gent), Joey Clough (Joey London), Carl Thompson and Irish-Vlogger and Presenter, Darren Kennedy.
You can check out the Montague Burton collection here, with further product drops appearing online and in-stores throughout the coming months.
