June Essentials Edit

This month’s essentials edit features a selection of brands which I’ve recently discovered and want to share with you guys. I think as consumers it can be very easy to stick to known brands, so June’s edit is dedicated to the newcomers! (Kiehl’s have a new product, so they make it in too!) so without further ado…

1. Regime London Coconut Quench, £12.99 from Superdrug stores and Forza Multivitamins, available from Forzasupplements.co.uk

As someone who naturally gets dehydrated, I’m forever looking for products to put moisture back into my skin. So when  Regime London invited me to check out Coconut Quench, I was more than happy to give it a go.

The coconut water and hyaluronic acid tablets only need to be taken once a day and promise to give a 6.3% increase to skin moisture below the eye and 5.6% increase in skin moisture below the neck.

The company who produce Regime London, Forza also create a whole range of vitamins and fitness supplements, of which I’ve also been trialling the multivitamins of for the past month. The multivitamins come is a funky smurf-blue colour and taste much better than other brands I’ve tried in the past.

2. Electric Melon Pineapple iPhone 6 case, £9.99

With the summer coming up, I wanted to jazz up my iPhone 6 case, from a standard black leather case to something a bit more exciting. Electric Melon provided exactly that in the form of their pineapple iPhone case, just one of the exciting designs available from their extensive selection.

3. Drake & Hutch Kensington Boxer Brief, £22 from Mysmartypants.co.uk

I’m a big underwear fan, so I’m always looking to discover new brands on the market. Drake & Hutch, a newly launched underwear company, use the principles of classic tailoring, applying modern fabric and production techniques to create clothing for the modern man.

You can really see the mark of quality in the Kensington Brief, which is designed in Manchester & Jermyn St and made in Porto. As well as feeling it in the fit of the brief, that contour to the body and cutaway at a flattering length on the thigh.

4. Kiehl’s Age Defender Moisturiser & Eye Repair, £38 & £28 from kiehls.co.uk

On Thursday evening, I attended the launch of Kiehl’s new Age Defender range with my Vlogger friend Robin James (A.K.A Man For Himself). The Age Defender range consists of three products; a serum, moisturiser and eye cream. Formulated with Linseed Extract and combined with Caffeine and Soy Protein, the age defender range helps to significantly improve skin’s elasticity and firmness, while visibly strengthening skin for a more youthful, energised appearance.

5. Bioglan Super Foods Supergreens, £22.99 from Holland & Barratt

Created by former England rugby player, Matt Dawson, the Bioglan Super Foods range contains the best ingredients for a high-quality performance, using raw, unprocessed and nutrient dense ingredients to absorb easier into the body. The tropical flavour is great for creating a summer juice when blended with mango, banana, kiwi and ice.

6. Gruhme No.14 Eau De Toilette, £45

As much as I love my Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, it’s very much an autumn/winter fragrance. Therefore, it was time to find something lighter and more summery . Cue Ghrume No.14 Eau De Toilette, an infusion of juniper berry, organic black peppercorn, bergamot, lemon and lavender with a heart of patchouli, cedar, oakwood, amber and musks interlaced with traces of cumin, celery and petigrain.

Furthermore beyond smelling delicious, the petigrain, extracted from the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange plant, actually calms and soothes the mind, while relaxing the body – what’s not to love.
